So is the damage bicentennial, or what?

There are some things that happened after 1776, and they get bicentennial observations as well.

What does the edge of this cent look like? I see some exposed zinc in spots -- is the edge copper- or silver-colored for the most part?

It looks like something was done to the copper layer around the edge, like it was pushed or folded back onto the coin, but I'm not sure I've seen something like it before.

Yes to Dryer coin.. It was caught between the wall and the drum of a Dryer.. Also the constant extreme heat affected it.

I'm REALLY not trying to be an old SOB here, but I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT IMAGINE why anyone gives these things a moment's thought. It's so foreign to my 55 years in this hobby. But then again, I've never intentionally watched a YouTube coin video either.

    Ummmmm. Yah. Sure.

[Hmm. All that multiverse stuff may have something to it after all. It certainly isn't true in THIS universe.]
