    I found this weird looking pennie and done know if it’s filed down or what. It has an edge

    Maybe it's a foreign coin, smaller than a dime or cent.

    I agree with @Fred Weinberg that it's most likely a slug and never was a coin to begin with.

    But it is conceivable that it could have once been a foreign coin that was smaller than a cent- like a German pfennig, maybe- but which got totally worn out. Ex-coin or not, without any detail on it, it's essentially a worthless slug.

    I'd be interested to know if it's magnetic or not.
