Need your expertise on this 1968 s At first thought it was an s/s. But later saw what looked like Doubling on the date and the rty in liberty. Any help would be appreciated.
Yes. I compared it with photos on lincoln resources. Probably wishful thinking but looked like s/s oh well maybe next time lol.
Sorry, I've got nothing for you (not my cuppa tea) - but I will say that I like your "mountain" avatar picture.
Nice! 4th highest mountain in the Rockies, @ 14,351ft...but I digress...regarding the cent, I am of the belief that this is just a full blown "machine doubled" coin, including the "S". Still, it's a nice '68 (which to us is just a young whippersnapper!).
Thought it looked like the view from Ft. Garland. It is beautiful country. Here is my mountain view...from my cabin porch. It's at 11,870 ft. It's just NE of San Luis up in the Sangria de Cristo's.
Is it possible to have the same machine doubling on two coins? The first coin on this post and this one. The date and mint marks are almost identical. On the liberty it is the "libe" on one and "erty" on the other. I am so confused.
