I have a few coins if like to know more about if anyone could help me... there is more than a few to be honest... but is like to start here... they are steel pennies and others of the date how do I know if I have ones with values to a collection
By posting pictures. Most 1943 steel Cents and 1944 Copper Cents are common finds worth face value. They have to be a variety or Mint Error to have a desirable collectability.
Someone may have told you by now, but there are a few 1943s that are not steel. If a magnet won't stick to it, it is likely valuable, if it not a fake, worth thousands. Take it to a dealer. There were very very few silver 1944 pennies. If you have either, take them to a dealer, they can be very valuable.
By stating that there were silver you will confuse the member. They are actually Transitional Mint Errors. Left over Steel Blanks form the previous year that were struck in 1944.. Not Silver
