I need help with East Africa 1941 5 cents coins. Krause is my only available catalog. In 1941 two varieties were struck, thick flan and thin flan. I know both exist because I've seen online catalogs list both. Krause has them both listed at the same value. But the 12-15 I have are all thick flan. I have never encountered the thin flan variety. Are they less common than the thick flan variety?
That is a interesting question. I did not find any mintage numbers listed for the thin flan type. Numista has them both on the same page but only one weight. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces999.html.
