Just wanted an opinion on this 1964 D Lincoln Cent .it seems to be in very good condition and the color is beautiful could this be real ?
What do you mean by real? A real Cent? Looks real to me Take the pictures out of that flip or whatever you have it stored in. It is distracting. I thought the Reverse had a nice Die Crack but it is just a line on the flip or plastic.
Sure, it's real. I don't see much color except the original red, which is nice enough. It is a very common coin, even in Mint State, but yes, it's attractive.
it is not uncommon to see Lincoln cents this old in such nice condition. They were saved by the full rolls mostly due to the 1960 Large/Small date. There was a shortage of Cents in the early 60's. The coin you posted looked to be 1962-D. And quite nice.
I'd say you could arguably value it at 10-25 cents since it's Mint State with most of the original red. Realistically, you'd have a hard time finding a buyer, though. It's nice but really common, even in that grade. Nice enough to hang onto, though.
