You kinda have to look past the near-nekkid lady to see the ship here. ;)

There's coins spilling out of a cornucopia, too. This French jeton is a wonderful design, and pretty big. Had to have it.

I sent it off and it came back PCGS MS63. I had bought it as an AU. There are only two graded, both MS63.

@Aethelred tried - but failed - to pry it from my grasp when I visited him recently. Ha! :woot:

(I think it might have launched him off on a French jeton journey of his own, though- he just bought the Gailhouste book, which I lack.)

    That French jeton is a hard act to follow, here is a 1934 Portugal 5 escudo 1934 PT 5 e obv.JPG 1934 PT 5 e rev.JPG

In light of that last, let's switch the theme to low-grade, holed, or damaged coins. :)

I believe so. Many of the wildman coins are mounted or previously mounted. The legend is that they were worn as sort of a talisman to protect against the wildmen.

Love token on 1849-54 Type 1 USA gold dollar.

Keep on with fun damaged or worn-out coins.

1675 Papal States. Holed and plugged but still one of my favorite coins. I couldn't afford it without the problems.
