I'm from Belgium, and we change coins often So the oldest I've ever found in circulation is probably something from the 80's, maybe with a little luck 70's. What I did find in circulation is a Thai 10 bath coin in the early years of the Euro. They look a like and vending machines were not able to see the difference. The only you should take in mind that it's only worth 20 cents. So when buying a drink you actually get profit out of it
Oldest coin I've found from circulation, 1909 wheat cent, G-4. Still have it in my Whitman Coin Folder too. Phoenix
1876 Dime found in change I got from McDonalds years ago, it was in poor 1 shape with a barely readable date.
1921 standing liberty quarter - although it was disfigured. looked like it had been hit with a hammer a few times. Still have it though. A few years back I had a few kennedy half-dollars that were of no important years or clarity. I went to McDonalds and it was all I had in my pocket.. when I handed it to the lady, she refused to take it. She said that she couldn't take play money. I asked for her manager trying not to laugh, and when he came over he laughed and finished ringing me up. -DJ
