62? Are you sure? They were two ounces, but copper is weighed avoirdupois not troy.

 

That's right. An ounce of silver weighs more than an ounce of copper, but a pound of copper weighs more than a pound of silver.

I love the old victorian pennies! As well as the other ones as well but there is somthing cool about such a large penny.
