    Hello all,

I've been trying to identify this dime. The obverse looks like a normal 1856 dime, but there is a raised notch at the top and the date is partially obstructed by a raised oval. The most unusual part is the completely non-standard reverse.

Any ideas what's going on here?

Neat, thanks. Its definately the size of a dime not half dime.

Quite possibly, could also have been a broach though given the 2 additions on the obv.

    Definately, I agree.
The obverse top & bottom show the remains from a pin on the back.
    A very nice love token/pin/broach.
