    Looks damaged. It was probably in a tight bezel or one of those Lucky Cent holder and then removed. Rim was affected. I have seen many of these.
    Not a Mint Error.

    I still do not understand the defects of US coins. You have a different classification of these defects. In contrast to the coins of the USSR. Although they are similar. Trying to figure it out. Therefore, I will show my US coins and ask questions!)

    @Saltik Here is an example of a "Lucky Penny" The rim of your coin was damaged when it was pressed into something like this. It occurred after it left the mint, so it isn't considered an error. Hope this helps. Welcome to Coin Talk
