Sup people, I went through my stash of “already searched cents” searching for the 1960s-1969s MS qualifiables and.... found these sexy thangs! Before I send them in, I need some judges here, what y’all think the grade of either one of these will be and are these the Lincoln pennies that sell for a good sum of money, how much if so? Thanks, James!
Welcome to CoinTalk They both look circulated. I see circulation wear, a fingerprint, black spots and some green gunk. Not worth sending in for grading. Not high MS grade at all. IMHO
Nice finds but they have minimal value over face, so as others have said, it doesn't make sense to spend $30-$50 to have each one graded. Hope that helps
Take the money you were going to pay to send them in and buy a book on how to grade coins, like the ANA Guide. I would also buy a book specializing in Lincoln cents. It will help save money in the future.
If you look on the photo of the obverse on the side of lincoln's forehead, cheek , beard, and coat, that there has been wear ( not much I grant you, but enough to make it a high AU , not MS). On the back look under the memorial building and you will see random direction marks, they also represent wear circulation ( and same remark as above about AU), Jim
