It has a very bad worn die strike and his face and neck looks doubled. I know im not good defying doubled dies but I might be wrong.
Unfortunately, it's mechanical doubling, although I agree it's more than average, and does 'look' like it could be a doubled die.
Still a fun coin to find. Many years ago some folks called this profile doubling. Same thing as machine doubling. It's been a long time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Correct I had an 1824 bust half ,talk about two faced...lol I still wish I had not sold it. Double profiles are fun finds I've found more hall's and nickels with the double profile than others series.
