KR is just, "Korean?" I guess. It's just the currency abbreviation. It's meant for the South Korean won. Not the North's won, which uses the same currency name, but a different abbreviation, "KPW". One million won is a thousand bucks, basically. Fluctuations will give you up to a hundred or more over a thousand, or under a thousand, depending on exchange rates. But the USD to KRW exchange has centered ~around~ 1,000 KRW to 1 USD for about 25 years now. The US dollar is stronger against the KRW right now.
