    It's a real cent

So the title states that it is DAMAGED and "Looks like" a double struck error, but isn't.

The obverse has been squeezed about 6 times.

TITLE: "Damaged WHEAT PENNY Looks like a double struck error 1943/1944 Unusual"

    Here's the DESCRIPTION
"For sale is a 1944 penny that appears to have been hit with a 1943 penny. It looks at first glance like a penny that has been double struck, which is very rare, but this is not that error. Still cool though and a fun addition to a collection!"

The #1 top arc is a squeeze from a 1943 cent which sticks 1943 and damages the B in LIBERTY and adds a backwards LIB near the edge
You have the #2 which add "IN GOD WE TRUST" across the arc
and #3 deeper squeezes crossing patterns from the time.
and #5 you can see crimping the edge in the middle part of the bust.
#6 you can see push metal just from the 2nd 4 to towards the rim.
    and other damage.

Reverse: looks like you can see part of an upside down bust being squeezed on to it.

wow, I really should start my own shop of "Mint Errors". $381 revenue .. material cost $0.01 .. labor $ not much for the revenue.

No just 4 to 1. Throw an indian cent in the roller, then throw in 49 wheat cents. You'll get a tails/tail roll on average 1 roll out of 4.

Someone realized that the coin is damaged, or fake bidding? Interesting, however, $381, and down to $0.99.
