Nothing is soft enough, there is no such thing. Anything, any fabric of any kind, your fingers, gloves, it doesn't matter what it is, absolutely anything can and will hairlline the coins, or leave fingerprints on the coins, or at least damage the surface in one way or another when you try to press coins down into an album. This is and always has been one of the biggest downfalls of albums - but it is far from being the only one ! There are several others.

Albums are arguably one of the worst things ever invented for coins. And are probably responsible for damaging and even destroying more coins than just about anything else that has ever been used for coin storage !

Fortunately my current albums are just business strike state quarters and America the Beautiful National Parks. And the silk is a lot better than nothing.

You might ! gently! warm the holder to above body temperature ( probably you could to 150-170 degrees) and then put the cool coin in and try. It is probably such a small expansion coefficient that the coin will fit properly. After it cools, the coin isn't going anywhere until you heat it up again. If you sand it down better , use the finest grit possible, maybe from an auto paint supplies . Jim

I really like the displayability with the Capital holders but they are not sealed at all. I am switching my nicer stuff over to Caps albums asap. I cannot stand the idea of my blast white coins turning black. I just wish companies would make album page colors in black or blue and not boring brown or tan. Maybe use my Dansco's for secondary coins.

I am not familiar with that book. Is it hard plastic or the cardboard with sleeves? Have any pictures?
