Paddy, I think they are supposed to be destroyed. Is the management of the US Mint behaving in misconduct?
Definitely a photo of a picture in print. Real photos are not dot matrix. You said it was the most valuable coin you ever found. YOU didn't find a coin. A picture of a picture!?? Really? And you expect us to believe you could scam us with that? Sorry, you can't scam people who are smarter than you.
I wasn't doing a scam, but it was lost on you. And I'd say you haven't been around long enough if you didn't recognize it. Stay tuned, all will be revealed.
That has literally no relevance to this conversation, the way you presented this implied that you found this, that you own this.
This was my Halloween Coin! I posted it for a couple of reasons. The intent, with the overblown heading and questions, was to satirize those who come here thinking they have something they don't. Now I do apologize to any who were offended, and yet happy to see some got it. My second point was to see if anyone recognized it. Yes, it is a picture, and was on the cover of a magazine I found, called Rare Coin Review, from the Bowers and Merena Galleries, dated May/June 1994. It's valued at $4,950, and has around 17 coins pressed together. I thought it was very interesting, and decided to share it with you all. Trick or Treat!
