I don't get it (old gold coins vs. gold bullion)?

I totally believe you as I have seen a few really good counterfeits but lately I've seen more Chinese silver counterfeits, made of real silver than US counterfeits made of gold. So are your "deceptive good counterfeits" mostly gold Indians? Do you happen to have a counterfeit St Gaudens?

With the exception of a $5 Lib, I think they are all Indian quarter eagles and Indian half eagles. No, I have never owned a counterfeit double eagle. I have bought and successfully returned a few Counterfeit $10 (both Libs and Indians) a few times. In fact, I have bought and returned the very same fake $10 Lib from two different sellers . . . an 1896-S, if I'm not mistaken.

Wow! You must have a nice collection of gold Indians! thumbsup.gif Are they all made of real 22k gold?

Even though they are counterfeits, yes, every one of them is of the correct gold content.
