There has been another one found in Michigan. <---- Fact.. Its an anonymous collector this time but Ken Potter has confirmed its real and should grade in the MS62 range.

 

insider info..... i now a guy that knows a guy.

no, i just listened to a conversationabout the guy that bought it. i know a guy that is in the middle of this. the new owner of the one at FUN didnt know the full story before bidding, then was made aware of all the info. he still bid strong and won. im not knocking the coin(s) but i would have gone about my bidding strategy differently.

its nice but if there are 10-50 more, ill wait and see what else comes out.

sorry i cant give up names, not only unprofessional, but nat really respectful. i will give out as much info as i can.

i am a younger collector trying to go pro as a dealer. I beleive in ful disclosure, even if it means a loss for me.


this guy didnt get that till after he was bidding. thats not fair or cool.


i bet more than 10 will come out of that area(michigan) this year.

i still have 100 or so rolls i still need to search, no i didnt buy them in michigan. but close.


the interesting thing is the strike doubling on the true ddo. before it was beleived the real one didnt have it. i have to go back and search over 500 rolls. this is nuts.

Any coin can have strike doubling. I would doubt that all the 1969-S DDOs have strike doubling, though.

 

then you should be careful what you say. You don't want to burn bridges needlessly. Most dealers frown on other dealers speaking badly about them in a public forum.

 

i dont think all the true ddo's have strike doubling, the newest find does. all i meant was that all the ones i already searched through should be searched again. sorry for the confusion.


cave troll, i wasnt saying anything bad about anyone. not here anyway. i like the fact that theres some mystery behind the recent discoveries. thats coins. thats why i like them. i would never trash someone for no reason. never. i like everyone that is a real person.

hey, just read this thread, if it sounds like i am bashing anyone, im not. i just wanted to tell what i heard. its like the roll of 1970-s cents that came oout. the guy put 1 at a time out there and it hurt the real price. they should have gone up but they didnt. thats alll i was trying to say. i know i cant put my thoughts down like some, and im sorry. i just like talking about stuff i have abit of knowledge in. if i angered anyone, i am truly sorry.
