Will modern zinc cents last 1000 years if stored in a time capsule?

    It's possible with proper storage.

Are you planning to create and bury a time capsule? o_O

I mean in theory sure, as lon as it’s kept away from moisture as much as possible. Not sure why you would want to but, you do you.

They will last 50 years with normal everyday use.
They might not be recognizable but most will.
What would help the longevity is a brief stop or
two in a sock drawer, change jar, or an unused
    ash tray in a car.

Zinc is a rather reactive metal especially when moisture is involved.
And an acidic environment would be worse.
The only reason they are lasting as well as they are so far is the copper cladding.

Yes if they are stored properly.

Considering normal everyday use for a cent is get it in change, throw it in a jar, maybe take it to the bank five or ten years later I would hope so.
