1972S Lincoln Penny, Double Date, Double Mint Mark to the North

    I recently inherited a coin collection, and was wondering what this particular piece is worth. It's marked as having a double date, and a double mint mark to the north. Thank you

    The doubling on both the date and mint mark make me think it's machine doubling.

    I think it's both machine doubling and a doubled die. Look at the tail of the 2 in the date... that does not look like MD, in my opinion... there is even a notch visible.

    Above is 1972 S 1c WDDO-003 from Wexler's Die Varieties, and shows the same doubling on the 2, the only place where die doubling shows.
