Well I got on my phone at 12 noon yesterday. It' took me till 2:15 to get through to order them.

Took me 15 minutes to place my order

 

I mailed my order in yesterday...I could not deal with the phone thing.

 

With a limit of one set per household, how did this guy get 7?

the seller could have had his whole extended family calling... or is a dealer and therefore had an in to get more. The rich get richer!

 

It's probably some type of coordinated group effort. Family members, friends or co-workers may have each bought one and then have one person sell it for them and split the profits.

I was able to get thru yesterday after calling about 20 times over 4 hours. I only ordered 1 silver proof dollar, 1 silver unc dollar and the medal set.

 

Does anyone know when these are due to be shipped?

 

finaly got my order in after several tries. got email that they were backordered till 1/31/o8

Has anyone had any luck in getting through to the mint? Website is still down and I have tried numerous times over the past few days and I still can't get through over the phone. I have even tried from different area codes and still no answer.

I tried numerous times till i was advised on this forum to use option 2 instead of 1 when the mint gives you all the options. I was put on hold for about 15 minutes but did get my order in.

 

Works for me, had to try about 5 times today to even get on hold to order my Kennedys... then put on hold about 15 minutes. Yep, option 2 works... as long as everybody doesn't start doing that lol... is more effective since most people will use 1.

 

When you click on "Shop Online", you now have the option to download an order form (PDF). Fill it out, and mail it to Philadelphia ...

I would certainly recommend trying the phone line first before mailinig. I read on anothe thread that some folks who had sent in order forms for other coins that sold out quickly got left out in the cold. Apparently, first come, first served. Not to say these will sell out but read that the 3 coin set is moving quickly. I orderd mine on the first day at around 6 in the evening and only waited a little over 5 minutes. However, others have had a more difficult time. I have no reason to call in now but I would think that wait times should be minimal as the initial rush has subsided.
