I also believe that both parties should be satisfied with the transaction until it is final. However, this takes some action and responsibility on both parties. In this case, the buyer showed that they did not care about being satisfied as they made no attempt to gain satisfaction. All they did was leave bad feedback without any communication. That's a jerk buyer!

Someone mentioned that they might come back to be a big customer for you. Personally, these are the type of customers that I don't want. These are the types of buyers that I block. 98% of your problems will come from 2% of your customers. I find it best to try and remove this 2% of my customer base so I can provide the best service at the best price to the remaining 98%. You can't make everybody happy.

Also, I was under the impression that you delivered exactly what you promised - that being the coin pictured. You never promised they'd grade the coin the same way as you or they'd pay what they wanted to pay or that they'd like it. It's meaningless what type of slab it was in. The buyer had the chance to properly address their concerns and they failed to do it properly. You held up your end and got screwed by a jerk buyer.

Blame the slab? If you put them in a junk drawer why would you have bought more a year later? Will you please furnish a link to this concluded auction.

Blame the Slab? No, actually I took responsibility, I blame me. The auctions were if you read correctly, a year or so ago, I no longer have the item numbers, sorry.

Yep Junk drawer, you dont have one? I bought more because they were for sale, I thought it would get me booted from the coin show if I tried to steal them, so I paid the guy instead.

Sounds like you want to play Airdale, sorry, I don't. I did what I did and thats that. I owe you nothing.

Referring to the auction the negative and neutral feedback transpired over recently. There may be more than one side to the story. And yes you describe the grading company and the original auction seller to you in a negative way at least 3 times.

Ahhh, I misunderstood, so did you, I was the seller this time, I cannot post a link. The negative remarks were my feelings toward the 1st party self slabs, yes, they have bad karma.....bad grading, bad everything.

My mistake was not cracking and selling raw, or covering up pictures of the slab insert....I pictured a VF coin with an AU insert, possibly misleading anybody not familiar with self slabbers, NNC in this case.

I have nothing but negs to say about NNC, SGS, GEC, etc etc etc, thus my statement, whew, glad they're gone

I did not misunderstand anything. He may have given you that neutral because you took 45 days to ship the coin. You just may want to bash companies and you use this as an excuse to do so. I give you the benefit of the doubt that this auction did happen but I would like to see it. An auction number will suffice.

Well when you start this thread off with " As you all know, I have had some eBay issues lately " it makes one wonder. I think there is a hidden agenda here. You are a foxy one though not to divulge the auction.

airedale, mean no disrespect, but it looks like you are trying to start something. Jack can not post a link to the auction, because of the forum rules. Self advertising. I don't see where there is a hidden agenda by not breaking the rules.

Issues: Busted a seller with stolen coin pictures from Herirtage, 2 bust halfs and he negged me in retaliation a day before getting booted from ebay with 11 negatives in 1 day.

I owe you no explanation, however the " issue " comment was raised, so I understand your curiosity. The " issues" I had were with Ebay allowing a seller who was NARUD with stolen items to neg me and stick....The rules on ebay state a mamber botted within 90 days of joining will have feedback removed so as to not damage other members in good standing.

It is still an "issue" with me

Thanks and I definitely stand corrected. Your pictures are large enough that one could see that coin did not live up to the grading tag.
I apologize for the inquisition and thank you rim's cents for breaking the ice. Sure hope you neutral is removed but your 99.9 feedback looks mighty fine.

    You are not pennysniper then?

    gmarguli ,
Why did you retaliate with a negative when the buyer only gave you a neutral? Also, your chief complaint with the buyer in your story is that he or she didn't email you before leaving neutral feedback but yet according to your story you didn't email them first before leaving negative feedback. Sounds to me like you're not really interested in making your customers happy but instead you just want your money and after you get it you hope to never hear from the customer again whether they liked their item or not. Frankly, it is sellers like you that cause buyers to become leery of places like Ebay.

Don't worry about it, LOL, I have been thru worse, yes, I buy on my pennysniper account, not against any rules and very common for sellers.

    My two cents....

I have been in the auto repair business for 33 years. I can really say there are customers out there that you can bend over back words for and they will never be satisfied... You will be the biggest crook on the earth...

I found it was easier to "kill them with kindness"... Just smile and say "Have a nice day"... They do not know how to respond...

In the auction it stated the following:

"In the unlikely event you are not happy with your purchase, simply email within 3 days, I'll make it right. IT'S THAT SIMPLE."

For the buyer to leave a neutral without trying to resolve his dissatisfaction deserved a neg feedback. The way Jack is handling this is admirable and shows a "customer is always right" attitude at its best.
If I had the money I would buy the coin in question as its an upgrade to what I have. There's no problem with the coin only with the slab.

    My opinion

I offer a no questions asked return privilege and I have a return rate of less than 1/10 of 1%. In every package I ship there is a note stating that if for any reason you're not happy to contact me and I'll try to make it right. Honestly, if a buyer can't do that, then I don't care about them. I'm not a psychic and can't foretell that you aren't happy if you don't let me know. If all the buyer wants to do is leave me neutral or negative feedback without letting me know there is a problem, then I will give them a negative to let other sellers know that they are a problem buyer.

If you think that makes me a problem seller, then please let me know your eBay ID and I will block you from bidding so that you never make the mistake of bidding on one of my auctions. eBay transactions aren't buyer vs. seller, they are buyer & seller.
