Umm, Really?

The pictures are scans, which often kill any color or luster the coin has. I’d bet good money that it looks 10x better in hand.

I’d be willing to buy it and bet the price of the coin that it will look better...

 

But 10X better is probably still pretty bad.

 

Lost cause, and a waste of money.......that coin is so bloody ugly. I can't believe that a 'scan' would be so miserably off base.

Seems like you might make the seller happy...maybe this whole thread was started to get someone to buy that coin and prove the OP wrong? The thought crossed my mind too but I don't really want to waste my ebucks.

There is no way to tell anything based on that photo. It comes down to luster. I don't think it is beautiful, but it may very well merit a gem grade in hand.
