Hello :) I'm new to collecting, so please bare with my infinite questions. I have a 1966 Washington Quarter which I'm wondering if it might be a double die (1966 (6))? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy your day :)

    Hello and welcome to CoinTalk

I really don't see any doubling. Could be MD - Mechanical Doubling
    Provide a clearer picture

Here is a good website on Doubled Die varieties
    http://doubleddie.com/58222.html
The correct numismatic terminology is actually Doubled Die

    Peace :angelic:

I see what you mean on the 6. I think it is just where it has been impacted. Welcome to CT.

    Welcome to Cointalk
As far as the reverse I see DDD( die deterioration doubling) not a true Double Die worth face value. JMO
