Maybe I'm missing something here but I didn't see anybody urging this guy/gal to discuss his/her feelings about his/her grandmother. All I saw was a heightened awareness by some who may of course be willing their collections at some point in the future that he/she could have used a little more tact in his/her subject line. That's it. Cry and walk away and leave us hanging for that? That's his/her decision. But I'm inclined now to think this whole thing was nothing more than a cute little ruse, anyway. The joke's on us. We've been had. Carry on. :goof:

    lol....grandma is gone

I don't have to wait till she's gone. I have my collection so now I try to teach a little of what I know. Although, when she does go, I will be not rich but wealthy. I know she has her coins somewhere and they are all mine.

The way he wrote his first and only post in the thread leads many to believe it is a hoax and rightfully so, him not responding any further adds to even more suspicion. After reading his post I was immediately suspicious and not because I don't like to be untrusting but because of past experience with this type of thing. Fourteen months ago on another forum a purported 18-year-old claims that he was cleaning out an old warehouse and found a "strap" of 1934 $1,000 bills. He said he turned the money into his manager who sent him by himself to deposit the money into his company's bank account. After a while of being unable to answer questions about exactly how much he deposited into the bank or how he did the IRS paperwork, he became defensive and rather irrational in his explanations. The whole thing was shown to be a hoax, perhaps the guy was on drugs or was maybe just a troll. Not that I am saying that this is the case with this situation but him not replying and posting any more details doesn't sit well for his side.

I agree 100% with Capped. I really don't see how the thread has run its course yet, no response has been made from the initial poster! Who knows he may never post in this thread again and that is his choice to do so. If someone doesnt like a thread or agree with what's posted inside than it is very simple, don't continue to read it let alone post in it as doing so will just keep it active and on page 1.

I wasn't trying to offend with my comment. However, I think the OP is laughing one way or the other. He's either laughing his way to the bank or he's laughing that his prank was so successful.

When somebody dies you should feel both happy and sad. You should be happy for them for a life well lived, and sad that their gone. Funerals are to celebrate the life that they lived. Why else would there be all that good food?

I would still like to hear from the OP. If GDJMSP is correct which he usually is I suspect this guy is telling the truth. I would like to hear from you whether by PM or by regular forum news. THanks Tom
