Honestly, looks plated. Unless it's a steal, I'd pass on it.

A very wise man recently told me that if the pics were lousy, then run away ;-)

I'm not interested in purchasing the coin ... just trying to learn more about the series.

Buy a book. Don't peruse eBay listings for information.

I'm sure they probably sell the books on eBay too.;)

I don't think it's plated, but the asking price on the basis of the photos is way too high, so I would pass on it too.

They're cheaper from Amazon unless you buy tattered, used copies. Great suggestion!

Well, it has “Proof Like Details”..... I think @physics-fan3.14 needs it for his Prooflike set. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

At first glance, I too would say it was plated, and the reverse doesn't look right at all.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I don't think its plated. I think it is AU, I think is probably cleaned, and I think its a lousy pic.

And I think the seller needs to lay off the label-maker.

It looks to me like it was polished on a buffing wheel.

Looks and sounds like lots of good reasons not to buy this coin.

Been saying that for years but people still run gambles with lousy pictures. Some win, but I think more often you lose. Just my opinion.

There's a lot that just doesn't look right. The date placement, color looks like is was polished, the profile looks off (the lips and jawline). I personally wouldn't buy it

I hold the honor of being the worlds worst coin photographer. And even I can take a photo with my phone that is acceptable enough to post. I truly believe these coins marketed using out of focus photos are intentionally concealing something.
