A very wise man recently told me that if the pics were lousy, then run away ;-) I'm not interested in purchasing the coin ... just trying to learn more about the series.
Buy a book. Don't peruse eBay listings for information. I'm sure they probably sell the books on eBay too.
I don't think it's plated, but the asking price on the basis of the photos is way too high, so I would pass on it too.

I don't think its plated. I think it is AU, I think is probably cleaned, and I think its a lousy pic. And I think the seller needs to lay off the label-maker.
Been saying that for years but people still run gambles with lousy pictures. Some win, but I think more often you lose. Just my opinion.
There's a lot that just doesn't look right. The date placement, color looks like is was polished, the profile looks off (the lips and jawline). I personally wouldn't buy it
I hold the honor of being the worlds worst coin photographer. And even I can take a photo with my phone that is acceptable enough to post. I truly believe these coins marketed using out of focus photos are intentionally concealing something.
Photos are no good at all. hurt my eyes just looking at them. looks buffed to me. thanks but no thanks.
