I'll be 70 in August. How old are you? I'm sure there are others here that are older than me. Don't you think it is a bit relative to ask how old a bill is that was found in circulation?

When I was a kid my oldest circ finds were bills from the 1934 series. Although 1950's were common into the 70's. Those old bills were destroyed in a fire.
Into the 80's and 90's (I worked a few retail jobs that handled cash) I would still occasionally pick up a $1 silver certificate
most 1957 but one or two from 1935, a couple of 1963 Barr notes.
    When I drove a car service in the mid-late 80s I picked up a 1963 red note $5.
Haven't gotten any old notes in circulation since the 90's so that's 20 years.
I worked at a liquor store for a few months in the early 90's and one day this weird looking nickel kept looking up at me all day from the register. I finally took a look at it, and it was a tremendous condition 1944-P, which I immediately replaced with a regular nickel.

No phot but I just got a $100.00 bill from 1934 2 days ago. It's F-VF with no stains, no rips or tears and no ink marks. Just minor wear and a fold down the center.

I've gotten 3-4 Series 1928 notes over the past few years. I have literally hundreds of Series 1934 notes.

Plucked my oldest find from the wild today... IMG_0759.JPG I was flipping through a strap while waiting for the branch manager to let me know when a box of halves would be in. Funny thing was I saw the other half of the bill and something made me spin the strap around to check the date. Glad I did!

My oldest ever was a 1969C $10. In 2010 or so, my friend in high school threatened to spend it at the cafeteria unless I paid him $15 for it.
I had to, because I couldn't stand to see it die like that

I have gotten from my banks in the past. $100.00 1928 Gold, 1934A $500.00 FRN, and many old others in the $1.00, $2.00, $5.00. The tellers I knew then, did a great job looking and letting me know what they had. I got many "WEB" notes back then also.

My niece was a teller. Someone brought these in to deposit. She bought them for me. I sent them in for grading and it turned out really well. All came back 64-66.

Cool! Although I'm not sure how to post an image, the oldest note I have found is a 1934A 20 dollar bill from San Francisco in pretty crisp condition. Might be Uncirculated or even Choice Uncirculated- not a single fold in it.

It looks like the first 2 you posted were marked with a pen. Did they only mark those 2?

Got a 1928 5 dollar bill at a bank around a year ago. It was such a cool find. I also found a 1928 2 dollar bill star note in a stack of red seal twos i got at the bank for face value.

They were all marked. The marks go away after a few months.
