p.s. to say all dealers dip coins would be incorrect.

Man, surprised, but then I'm not. I think it could possibly warrant a 64, but we don't know what those pics are hiding either. Best of luck DJ. :thumb: Who will you send it to when you get it?

    Phoenix

If I still think it warrants a MS64+ when I see it in hand, I'll send it to NGC since I have a membership there. I'll post photos as soon as I receive it. :)

So , when you send it off to NGC do you crack it out and send it raw or send the PCGS slab and ask for an upgrade to 64 or above ?

    Oh man....

    Get to crackin' !

    That will make a 64, EASY !
I think it's a 65, if the rims are decent.

    Good Luck
    :)

    I said MS 62-63.

    What do I win? :D

Nothing, because if PCGS grades that coin again, it will be a 64 or 65. :)

That said, there may be a "problem" hidden in the photos that would yeild a 63 grade -- I just don't see it. Do you?

I scoured over the photos for a long time before I bid and just couldn't come up with a reason that it wouldn't go at least 64--that said, the only thing about it that bothers me is that spot on the rim. If I'm lucky it may just be discoloration. ;) BTW, the competition between PCGS and NGC is too hot to send it in as a crossover IMO...so it'll be a crack and submit.

The scratch across the eagle's right wing.

    well, I dunno.
But it looks like on the top rim of the Reverse... it looks dirty, then there is an open spot, then the darkness area starts again...
there also appears to be a spot between the U and M on Unum. but that could be tarnish...

I think the first is a scuff on the slab, and the second is toning...Mike

    p.s. GDJMSP I don't see any scratch????

That ain't no scratch, if it is. It is a combination of a feature of the die and the odd Teletrade photos. Look at other Morgans on Teletrade and see. All IMHO & confusingly yours...Mike

I don't think so Mike. The first pic is the coin in this thread. Second is an ordinary Morgan.
