RPD or Machine Doubling?

    @Paddy54 Looks like shelf doubling or machine doubling to me, but I'd like other opinions

    I see other doubling on the coin the lower leaves and some areas by the arrows. This characteristic is usually MD.

    Looks like MD to me but I the die cracks on the obverse.

    Image_1432.JPG Image_1428.JPG Image_1430.JPG I have been told by several that this one is MD. Thirty years ago Bowers called it an RPD. Today I believe it is MD.

    This specimen would require in hand inspection, with these coins it is hard to determine if it is or isn't an RPD. I do believe as others years ago it would of been called an RPD.
    And that's what makes collecting shield nickels so fun! You can find some of most strangest anomalies on them. Fun series to collect.

    I agree with MD but the first 6 looks like it may be an RPD as well. Interesting example..

    I can read all the articles people post, but they all look the same to me.
