That's the great thing about the Jefferson Nickel series - you can still collect them out of circulation.

 

Jefferson nickles are probably the easiest series to complete, as the design for nickels remained consistent from 1938 up until 2003, and no rare dates exist. I've completed 80% of the Jefferson nickel series just from change, and bankroll hunting.

 

Nice find now get those nickle books. Smiles!

 

What’s the year on the buffalo nickel? Does it have a mint mark?

 

It's a dateless buffalo nickel.

 

Can we get a picture of the reverse?

 

Use to roll search nickels in the 60's
and early 70's. Filled a few books and
had 3 roll sets thru 1971 except for the
1950-d. Several,several hundred rolls
and not one 1950-d.

 

Well, it’s at least not 1913.

 

Yeah I have no idea. It has a very very faint of a date in different lightning still can't tell it though.

 

This (IMO) is a candidate for nic-a-date, just to see the date. I have a few no dates that I will someday try.
