I found this penny the other day and I hear that it's worth an even prettier penny... Pun intended. I literally just started collecting coins because I'm out of work so I hope it's worth something. Your knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thx! 1538143430393957376195.jpg 1538143614485528212328.jpg

Yeah it's a 1982 small date. But not the 1982 D small date copper cent is the rare one.

    Where did you hear that?
    It's worth about a cent.

I think you eluding to some YouTube videos that deceive people?

Also, there was ONE, (notice the low number) Denver minted 1982 Copper cent that was minted that is worth some money. But you won't find another in pocket change, or on the ground or along the banks of a river.

    .01 cent.
They made this coin in copper and zinc. Did you weigh it?
    Copper 3.1 grams, zinc 2.5
In mint state this coin has a little value, and the zinc is listed a little higher.
They made 17 billion cents in 1982.
1982 large date Philly copper 1982 large date Philly zinc
1982 small date Philly copper 1982 small date Philly zinc
1982 large date Denver copper 1982 large date Denver zinc
    1982 small date Denver zinc
1982 large date proof San Francisco copper

So far 1 1982 small date Denver copper has been found. They might find another
because all 17 billion coins have not been searched, categorized and weighed.
You Tube coin videos are misleading propaganda.

According to the internet, they're "made", not "minted". LOL

Also someone very harshly cleaned that coin, which if it was valuable would have drastically reduced the value. This one being worth only one cent doesn't really matter.

Thx... I appreciate the feedback. I was thinking that it had been cleaned because it looked a little too shiny.
