Little known fact: in 1922 the Denver Mint lost the key to the silver vault for 8 days in June, and were forced to mint dollars on chrome plated steel planchets. The hard steel blanks resulted in horribly soft strikes. When the night custodian got back from his vacation, he realized he had put the key in his locker, and normal production resumed. So, as the seller correctly points out, these are VERY rare.
Well , said it was circulated, said it had luster/shine, said it was rare this way since 15+ million were not plated, said he fell for it and it is now the greater fool theory of commerce, so what's the problem? Mercury forms amalgams with gold, silver , and copper and forms a solid matrix, not a liquid covering. Might be neat to have my silver amalgam fillings to shine like that .
Oh my, I died when I read this... "Hello this is my 1922 peace dollar, great looking coin to add to the collection! This is a fully circulated coin and has definitely seen its bumps and scrapes but cmon give it some credit it’s had a long life. It’s worn down in some spots but the shine is ridiculously nice for its age. True art piece compared to other peace coins. Haven’t seen to many that have this cool look to them so hopefully someone wants to add it to their collection as much as I did. Thanks have a good day
Most mercury is absorbed through the lungs into the blood/body. Very small amount through the GI tract. As some "old" teenagers say don't " Don't suck the saliva when you kiss", should aid that problem. But who would be most appropriate to inhaling mercury from the mouth or saliva are dentists who do not wear sealed oxygen masks or rebreathers. My dentists gauze mask does even keep the garlic vapors down in the afternoon appointments and we are the same age ( way past social security mark). Since he is still standing and he knows of no dentist that has died from amalgam vapors, I have no worries from Hg vapors from my fillings, vaccines, or the chem labs. But I won't elaborate as there are enough conspiracy threads already on the forum Jim
