My daughter found this penny among her change and I was wondering if it might be worth anything. I thought it was very strange that it actually made it into circulation since it is so obviously misaligned. In the attached photos, the coin in question is on the left and a properly minted 2009 penny is on the right for comparison. One photo is showing the coin's thin edge on the top edge and one has the coins side by side to show the difference in thickness. Thanks for any comments you can offer. Rauni
Not that I have ever bought one of these. But I would venture a guess that it is worth a bit more than 5 - 10$ Offstruck coins don't happen ALL that much in Canadian coinage. At least not nearly as much as they do in American Copper. Just MO

It's a nice coin. I think $5 is still the area. But for me that would be max retail. It's a keeper for sure.
Welcome back! Over 9 years later. I say it's actually a Misaligned Die Strike. Off Center Strike would on show both sides.. Nice looking example. But still about $4.00 - $6.00
No. Misaligned on one side but now I see that it also could be Broadstruck. Either partially or totally out of collar.
