I can't bring up your pictures, but I would be interested in the out come since I have a 1885 CC GSA. dave
Are the lines on Liberty's cheek from the plastic or the coin? if it's the coin the Red Book would suggest MS-63 (some distracting contact marks or blemishes in prime focal area) I bring this up because it could help me improve my coin grading skills. That being said all the Red Book quotes is PF-63 at $2,000.
The lines on Liberty's cheek are from the "drawing bench" used to flatten the silver strips to uniform thickness prior to planchets being punched. They aren't supposed to affect the grade, but personally I think they detract from the aesthetic appeal of the coin when in this location. I'm also not sure if the marks over igwt on the rev are on the coin, or the holder. I'll gues 3,750.
The roller marks on the cheek absolutely ruin the eye appeal of this coin IMO, I think it will bring a bargain price of $3,200.
The color looks a bit odd from the pictures and there are roller marks, but nice nontheless. My guess is $3450.
Top bidder right now has a 6 month history of 1,415 bid retractions so I predict he will drive it up to the max, say $4800.
Probably the seller's other account. I've had that happen to me. Lost out at the last second and within 5 minutes the seller contacted me saying the winner had retracted the last bid and that they would be willing to accept my last bid. I turned it down.
