I see this mystery "O" side by side with a "D" mint mark. Is this Die Clash?

No that's a stain

 

When you look at a Wheat Cent overlay there is nothing in that area to clash any letter

Do you know what a cud is, sir? I see nothing suggesting even the possibility.

 

I can tell you have a window motor to replace easier than I can see a your coin. Can you crop the photo and start a thread just for this coin?

 

I thought a cud was when the coin had an extra piece of metal on it from the mint.

 

I will break it out of the holder for hopefully better pic's

No need to break it out. You have a pretty nicely clashed coin. You might even be able to see the mint mark clashed into the reverse on earth upon close inspection. The marks highlighted in my photo show the clash of Susan's bust from the front.

Yes it is a Die Clash. Where the 2 metal components that press the images onto the coins came together without a planchet(blank coin) in place. Can you post a pic of the front(obverse)?
