I'm in Belgium for the next month, but I will ask the Nordic Goddess Ran to watch over all the folks on the SE coast of the US during this storm.

Just for funsies (because I’m home from work due to hurricane, but also ill, so not feeling up to going upstairs to catch up on coining), here is a coin I have posted many times before:

    Med-09b-Eng-1494-Henry VII-D-II-Durham-1731.jpg
    England
    Henry VII, r. 1485-1509 (1494-1501)
Durham Mint, mm 76b, AR Penny, 14.88mm x 0.6 grams
Obv.: [HENR]IC DI GR[A REX] AN. King enthroned holding orb and sceptre
Rev.: CIVITAS [DE .:.] RAM. Coat-of-arms over long cross pattée, mitre above, R left, D right
Ref.: North 1731, SCBS 2234, De Witt 3298, (Allen, Classification 3iii)
Ex. R.D. Frederick, Ex. Tradewinds Collection, Ex. CNG Auction 280, Lot 481

This coin was minted in Durham: a city I lived in whilst doing my doctorate, and also where I met my wife. Well, to celebrate our anniversary this summer, we went back to Durham. When I lived there I never thought to find where the mint was, but I decided to this time:

    It’s now a public toilet...

Money may not smell, but the only thing being minted in there these days sure does.

That wicked storm needs a special "winged " thunderbolt.
The blessed cross coupled with sincere warm prayers will definitely help.Amen..
May God keep all of you.
I chose the reverses alone. They count alone. No need for the obverses. TheoCyz134r RIC 10.jpg Gr Seleuc R thunderbolt.JPG
