I see evidence of it being Multi-Struck IMHO But I don't think PCGS mentions that terminology.. NGC Does
What amazes me about this particular piece is that there is almost none of the zinc showing on either side despite how huge it is. You might think it was a bronze one at first; same color.
And the same mint. Those clowns on the night shift at Philly are known for this. All the way back to the 1955 DD.
I like the PCGS label, Broadstruck out of collar. As opposed to what Broadstruck In the collar? Considering the definition of broadstruck is a coin struck with the collar absent, the label is a bit redundent.
Yes, with that much stretching, I would certainly have expected some serious plating splits. And, that bowl is deep! Seriously cool error.
