I really hope I’m doing this correctly, also file sizes. 4 pics of the same coin took 45 min. I am trying to narrow down the choices for my vouchers. I greatly appreciate your opinion and tolerance of photo quality.
I think you want to know what I think of the quality of your photos. Not very good, but better than most first timers.
I know it garbage-I appreciate the feedback. I used 10 apps and 4 lamps at this point I’ll hire a selfie addict for tips.
Why are you using your fingers? Use something stationary to hold it. Try a slim medicine bottle. Place it on top of the bottle then take a shot of the coin from above. Use a black background. It will look as if the coin is floating in the air.
Nice Susan B! Check out a bunch of the forums on here about coin photography! They will blow your mind with all of the expert advice you find there! Truly a lot of helpful people here when it comes to coin photography. If your on a budget, no problem, they have advice for that too!
The condition on that coin seems very good. The rare variety you want on the 1979-P is the "Wide rim, near date." (The one close to the rim of the coin.)
