Metal Detecting - Labor Day 2018 - Silver!

    Hi all,
    Labor Day 2018.. Coney Island's Brighton Beach once again.
    I rolled up my pants and went knee deep into the water with my Minelab CTX 3030!
    5 hour hunt got me many US Coins and some fun stuff.. Especially 2 Silver items!
    Here are my counts for today -
    US Coins
    $1 - Presidential Dollar - 1 each
    25C - 25 each
    10C - 16 each
    5C - 11 each
    1C - 61 each
    1C - 1953 Wheat Cent
    Miscellaneous
    1 - Silver Pendant
    1 - Silver Ring
    1 - Pendant with Mounted Crystal
    1 - Porsche Toy Car (Lime Green)
    Misc Metals

    As I read that, Lambtalk by Quavo came on my playlist.
    (for the aged, thats a song about Lamborghinis) so the coincidence is strong

    Nice haul Paddyman. I would think that the ocean waves and sand would wear the coins pretty bad, but there doesn't appear to much damage to your finds.

    Next time a pair of hip waders maybe? Ya' just never know. Oh, and then come the goggles and snorkel. Nice haul.

    Thanks. I also spent some time on the sand.. A lot of beach goers this past weekend. There were some saltwater finds that were in bad shape. One nickel that I didn't mention was encrusted with hard sand. Don't know how it occurred but I plan to try to salvage it.
