Hi all, Labor Day 2018.. Coney Island's Brighton Beach once again. I rolled up my pants and went knee deep into the water with my Minelab CTX 3030! 5 hour hunt got me many US Coins and some fun stuff.. Especially 2 Silver items! Here are my counts for today - US Coins $1 - Presidential Dollar - 1 each 25C - 25 each 10C - 16 each 5C - 11 each 1C - 61 each 1C - 1953 Wheat Cent Miscellaneous 1 - Silver Pendant 1 - Silver Ring 1 - Pendant with Mounted Crystal 1 - Porsche Toy Car (Lime Green) Misc Metals
As I read that, Lambtalk by Quavo came on my playlist. (for the aged, thats a song about Lamborghinis) so the coincidence is strong
Nice haul Paddyman. I would think that the ocean waves and sand would wear the coins pretty bad, but there doesn't appear to much damage to your finds. Dave
Next time a pair of hip waders maybe? Ya' just never know. Oh, and then come the goggles and snorkel. Nice haul.
Thanks. I also spent some time on the sand.. A lot of beach goers this past weekend. There were some saltwater finds that were in bad shape. One nickel that I didn't mention was encrusted with hard sand. Don't know how it occurred but I plan to try to salvage it. You can see it on the bottom of the picture I posted -
