Im having some trouble with this one. And although Im leaning on the side of proof, after recently realizing that my Mercury Dime was Polished, I thought this might be as well. This quarter is also a lot shinier than my newly acquired 1961 Proof Set

    Thanks

Most of the time when a coin has been polished you will still see some toning around the litters and there looks like there may be some around th T in LIBERTY and again around the lift side of IN GOD WE TRUST, but I do not see any signs on the reverse. This could be a proof.

I agree with everyone above, I believe a definite Proof.

    OK good.
Its marked as a proof (I got it in a coin lot), but after seeing my Mercury Dime I thought "Oh no, this is polished too!"

    thanks for some confirmation.
Anyone know the price on this baby? ;)

Sweet coin man, definete proof. :thumb: Looks like it might go cameo, hard to really tell if there is any weakness in the frost from the pics. Normally sell for around $5-$10 in non-cameo, not sure on the price if it is a cameo. Either way, it is a very nice looking coin man. :thumb:

Best bet Magman is to remove it from the holder. All modern proofs have sharp strong square rims, and fully struck bold lettering, but they do not have to be cameo in 1962, they do have to be strong and sharp.

I fully think yours is proof.

thats the thing that confused me.
Is the proofs I have, the recent ones, are closer to cameo. lol

I wont remove it from its holder until I get some more flips :)
