Yes I was talking about the NGC Morgan, looks like the exact same coin but the images in the website are not the same images as those on the NGC site. It probaly is a stock image but he found a second image of the actual coin pictured on NGC and not coppied from a major auction site. That's unusual.
A third possibility is that they acquired the original coin to use as a model for their fake and for their advertising. Either that or they are getting really good at the craft, right down to toning and color. Hopefully, the fakes are actually really crappy and the photographs are as phony as the coin.
Oops, i totally misunderstood what you were saying. I agree because at 1st i thought someone was implying that the coin & slab were fake That would scare the heebiejeebie Outta me !! Its obviously some kind of a scam but just goes to show how careful one needs to be nowadays. Read books, study die marriages, invest in a good 10x loupe, purchase a digital scale and a strong magnet KNOW THE SERIES in what you are purchasing
Actually I bet they would be very responsive. They would likely even ship a single slab to you for free. What does that tell you about the current trade climate?
Seriously, you would be well served by letting go of this desire to get something for next to nothing. I'm not saying it's unreasonable but only that it's beyond foolish, especially for someone in your shoes. Again, instead invest your efforts into learning. This is the one way that will give you the greatest opportunity to succeed and achieve what it clearly so important to you.
For those who may not have seen this - it's instructive about the state of counterfeit manufacturing in China. Bear in mind this article is at least 15 years old (and even then it was hardly a basement enterprise!) and they're certainly a decade and a half slicker and better able to make a believable copy now than when it was written: https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/chinese-coin-counterfeiting-ring-4071202
And don't buy anything but Chinese coins from folks in china and even then compare them to known fakes.
