Believe it or not, i cherried a VG 1858/7 once, with all 3 die markers visible (perhaps using only a luttle imagination). I no longer have it, though, and the pics are long gone.
I cherried 3 8/7 Flying eagles, a F-15, an XF-45 obv cleaned, and a VF corroded, but I don't see the corrosion
Or it's just keeping an eye on the future and is something every collector should consider doing when possible. While there's really no right or wrong way to go about collecting as long as one knows the facts, one can also add a lot of "value" to their collection by acquiring or picking coins worth, or will likely be worth more upon selling than it cost to buy. Just food for thought.
This is exactly how I go about adding to my collection. I say no to so many coins, at times I feel like the dealers see me as a tire kicker. But if the coins speaks to me and the price is right, I strike like a viper.
