I don't know, because it is kind of false advertising, which is illegal. They are saying it's unsearched and real, but if it isn't unsearched and really old, which is probably the case, then it is illegal.
Yes, and Hai Karate aftershave will make me irresistible to women, too. There's no way to protect someone from hype.
But how do you know if any of them are really unsearched? I agree that these are likely very few truly 'unsearched' rolls on eBay, but there is no proof that the people selling them are lying.
Not illegal, but definitely not something I would want to sell like that. Note to members reading this topic - Please don't buy "unsearched" rolls from eBay. 99.99999% of the time they have been searched.
I laughed trying to envision a bank teller in the 50s rolling random wheat pennies and "stumbling" upon a 3 cent piece (of all things). Then instead of keeping it, deciding to put it on the end of the roll they're working on. The story gets even better when you consider that it hasn't fallen out of the roll in all this time and nobody that's been in possession of it was ever curious enough to take it out and keep it. Makes for a hell of a conversation piece. LOL
