Hello everyone, trying to organize my coins and came across these ugly looking coins. I think I might have posted one of these before but can't remember what some of your comments were. Some I believe some of you explained what causes a penny to look this way.

    Can you help again please?
    Thank you

You could throw those away and be richer for it.

Really, toss those coins in the jar. They are damaged and beyond redemption.

    How can you forget?
The tumbling of the coin between the dryer drum and the dryer wall combined with the heat created the look on all your cents.

Quality control at the mint is atrocious, but I don't think even the blindest of inspectors would have let a coin like this out of 'the house'. Fact is, the mint doesn't have the capability of producing such a coin, because the damage is 'post mint' related.........
