Is this typical of 1945 Australia half penny? Weak image?

    Hi All

I found this coin and the imagery on both sides (The kangaroo and face) look very smooth and warn, but the rest of the coin is very crisp, so it doesnt really dictate that damage - Are these typically pressed soft on the imagery?

Typically. Probably not. But common enough. Aussie pennies aren't the highest quality, its hard to find high grade ones.

That's a very nice looking Half Penny.
    I do not collect these,
It is very pleasing to the eye.

Yeah, that's fairly common with Aussie bronze coins, particularly the soft looking kangaroo image.
