Hi All While picking through my morgans to decide which to keep and sell, I noticed this - Look above the E and P in E Pluribus, and over the IBU in Pluribus Also, if you follow the line down from the E, you can see it lightly goes through and connects the stars - What do you think?
There is a minor distinction between die break and die crack. A die break is more severe. I'd call yours a die crack. These are quite common, but Morgan enthusiasts use them to help determine the variety. I'll let someone with "VAM" experience help you on that front.
I have been "collecting" for all of a month and the whole error terminology still gets me - A fun find though! The whole VAM thing is a black door to me - I dont understand what to look for at all and there are SO MANY!!!!
I really wouldn't worry too much about VAMs. Many of them you literally need a microscope to see.... that doesn't seem enjoyable or desirable to me. That's just my opinion, though. There are thousands and thousands of them - but the people who collect them really love them. So, I'm happy for them.
