    1066merlin. The purchase value is about two cents. That coin may not be the most attractive in the history of numismatics, but someone likes it. Five Swedish ore, from 1915. 103 years for this centenarian !

    This finally arrived last week. Here is my photo. The first silver coin of the Romans, C. 300 BC:

    Denomination: Didrachm
    Metal: AR
    Obverse: Head of Mars L., Oak leaf to R. (very weak on this example and largely off the flan)
    Reverse: Horse head with ROMANO on raised tablet. Corn ear on L.
    Weight: 6.45 gms
    Reference: Crawford 13/1
    Provenance: Kunker eSale 50, Lot 22, July 18, 2018
    Comments: Rare obverse die with fewer than 10 known from this obverse and at least two reverse dies. Light weight, but within reasonable range.

    Along with my 1/2 cent, i added these as well today. Not a bad $200 spent for the 4 coins. ⬆



    And some pawn shop silver. $20 a piece. Oh well.
