Always best to say where you see doubling and to post better pics.
Also, it's doubled die, not double die.

Why not do some reading and some research before you post common pocket change?

A little education goes a long way. Once you have educated yourself, you can post the coins that either really stand out to you or ones that truly stump you as to what they are.

This way you can participate in the forum, not just blindly ask questions and expect everyone on here to answer them for you.

Sorry to be harsh, it's really becoming a problem around here (not just you). I really hope you get into coin collecting and stick around and learn and contribute.

    Welcome to CT!

Now you may bash the living heck out of me

It's easier to ask her and quicker? Just a thought. I'm like that (in case you didn't already know).

AnonymousCoinCollector Reintroduce silver coins to circulation!

    That doesn't make any sense.

In order for you to post that you think you have a doubled die quarter, you must have seen SOMETHING on the coin that led you to think you might have a doubled die coin.

Please describe where you are seeing the possible doubling.

99.99% of everything you will encounter with Coinage will be DAMAGE.

Damage from the environment; from being in circulation; damage from being dropped; damage from being exposed to mud, glue, cows, etc.; from ppl like me that may use them as a hammer, or screwdriver; ppl who work in oil change places who use coins without totally cleaning their hands. The list of damage is UNLIMITED.

The list of ERRORS is LIMITED. Research and Learn the list of errors.
It will help you a lot when you see any coin.

The problem is sticking to proper terminology which really comes into play when one talks about Errors. If you are lax about general terminology then ppl will get totally confused when it comes to errors. Take any profession or hobby and ask ppl if you can be lax with their terminology while talking about it. It can sound nuts but it makes descriptions more specific rather than wavering due to lax terminology.

Sorry but I gotta ask, is quarter no longer the appropriate way to refer to a coin worth $0.25? I get the whole penny vs cent issue, but I must now refer to them as quarter dollars instead of quarters?

I understand your larger point very well, a common lexicon is a hallmark of any profession or hobby, it helps with communication and indicates group identity. But come on, there is a limit here and Prez has passed it.

I think we should start calling them twenty-five cent quarter of a dollar metal money pieces.

Don't start with the drummer boy/bicentennial one now...

Maybe it would help if you didn't come and start correcting people on tiny things that aren't important. =)
If you are going to start correcting folks, you'd better start watching what you post very carefully. They'll be watching for any little incorrect thing you say. JMO.
